2015

4th April: An interview with Jayne appearred in this months Punk Globe magazine.

 

22nd July: Jayne County & The Electrick Queers made a rare live appearance at The Earl in Atlanta this evening. The show was a benefit for Jayne's friend Alex (Trey Chic).

 

27th September: Jimi Lalumia (Jayne's manager) informs me that "Max's Kansas City 1976" by Wayne County & The Backstreet Boys will soon get a re-release in the original sleeve and on limited edition coloured vinyl. More details as I have them.

 

10th October: Details for the Max's Kansas City release are as follows:

  • The digital release date via  iTunes, Spotify etc, is Friday 13th November.

  • 7" UK release date is 5th December and will be available to order from Jungle Records e-bay store about 3 weeks prior to release.

  • 7" US release date is 11th December and orders are being taken now at MVD .

10th October: Jayne is supporting the fundraising efforts to care for Holly Woodlawn. Holly is currently in an assisted living space in Los Angeles. Although she has responded to the interventions her doctors have given her the illness is incurable. A fundraising page has been set up to try and raise enough funds to continue Holly's care at this facility which costs $3,400 a month. The appeal is also raising money for Holly's final wishes. Please contribute if you can and please share details of this appeal widely. Jayne's track "Boys" (featuring Holly) can be heard at the fundraising page.

 

16th November: Jayne's "Goddess of Wet Dreams" CD gets reissued on 11th December. Orders are being taken now at MVD for US fans. For those outside the US try Amazon.

 

11th December: The "Goddess of Wet Dreams" CD is now available at MVD (for U.S. fans) and Amazon (for U.K. fans). For fans elsewhere try your local Amazon site.

2014

23rd April: Read an interview with Jayne including how she was banned from Facebook in this Dangerous Minds article.

5th June: Jayne has an article up regarding banning and censorship on the Queerty website.

2nd August: Jayne is featured in Haaretz online newspaper regarding her support for Israel.

23rd August: Wayne County and the Electric Chairs Rockpalast performance from 1978, issued by Repertoire Records,will soon be available to buy as a DVD and CD package. Details here.

15th February: Jayne is featured in Polari magazines LGBT History Month Heroes today. Rupert Smith's article can be found here.

11th April: Jayne's out of print biography "Man Enough To Be A Woman" written with Rupert Smith is now available to buy as an e-book. Buy it, and other Rupert Smith books, at Amazon.

11th October: Jayne County and the Electrick Queers appeared at the Star Bar in Atlanta tonight.

2012

15th January: An interview with Jayne appears on the Louder Than War website.

14th April: Jayne County & The Electrick Queers played The Yacht Club 25th Anniversary show tonight in Atlanta.

27th July: Jayne County & The Electrick Queers headlined the NYC Punk Tribute night at The Star Bar in Atlanta tonight.

8th September: Jayne played The Viper rooms in L.A. tonight.

28th September: Jayne County & the Electrick Queers will release 2 new songs, "Ready to Stop" and I'm a Gonna Go to Hell" on iTunes, emusic, Amazon and other download outlets shortly.

1st December: "Ready To Stop" by Jayne County and the Electrick Queers is now available to download.

2011
